Michela Cinotti was born in Siena in 1969 and began her activity in 1992, after 3 years of apprenticeship and work in the jewelry workshop of maestro Valerio Passerini, following her graduation from the Siena Art Institute.
In 1994 she won first prize at the exhibit entitled Maestri d’Autore and dedicated her first years of activity chiefly to the creation of Etruscan style jewelry.
Together with the Siena Gold Consortium she participated in numerous exhibits, both in Italy and in other countries.
This period marked the evolution of her unique creativity, during which she integrated lost wax casting with artistic craftsmanship, giving rise to jewelry and sculptures of particular beauty.
Michela’s ample range of modern jewelry creations is appreciated both locally and internationally.
She does not limit herself exclusively to precious stones but also creates pieces from the simpler elements and objects offered by nature …. even a simple stone set in a noble metal gives pleasing emotions to the eyes.
Michela’s workshop is unique for the originality of her production and for her constant search for what is different, outside the norm and passing style, harmonizing taste and expressivity.
In 2011 Michela moved her workshop to Via dei Termini, in the historical centre of Siena, after 19 years of activity in a small shop near Piazza del Campo.
Every detail renders the shop itself a mirror of her own artistic personality.
